November Scrapbook kit,

Card Swap

For the first time I am in a card swap. I had to create 10 Christmas cards that were all the same. I then mail all of them to a people that is hosting the swap. She will get cards from 10 different people and then mail me back 9 different cards. I'm really excited to see what everyone else does. This is a picture of my card. What do you think is it OK?
Right now the "in" thing to use is a product called "Stickles". I use the Liquid Glass and the Detail Glitter to make my own. I mixed it together in a craft jar. I also used Fun Flock and mixed some Detail Glitter in it for snow under the slide. Instead of using a basic card I cut at 5x7 card base and created a gate fold.

I love using chalk!!! I my last order I bought the Soft Chalk Eraser. It is going to be a must have in my tool kit. I was so surprised at how great it worked. Don't forget to check out my calendar for all of my workshops and event.

No-Commitment Create with Bling Scrapbook/Card Club

Image Do you like to learn new techniques? Do you like to earn free products? Do you like to be the first to get the scoop on specials? The Club will meet the Fourth Monday of each Month at 6:30pm. The place is still to be determined however, you do not need to be local to be part of the club. For my "long distance" or "just don't have that Monday night free" members you can get your kit mailed to you and any orders you place.

You may join the club at any time and there is no commitment to stay in for any length of time. Each person who signs up for this club will have their name added to the bottom of the hostess list. The person whose name is on the top of the list will get the hostess rewards that month. In order for your name to keep its "place" on the list. You must purchase ($15 card kit) or ($17 scrapbook kit) whether you attend the class that month or not. You can purchase the card kit one month and the scrapbook kit the next month! If you do not purchase a kit that month, then your name goes down to the bottom of the list. If you purchase a kit then your name continues to move up the list. If you would like your kit mailed to you then add an additional $5 for shipping.

Make a Card Gathering

Angie is hosting a Card Gathering at Pam's home. Everyone is invited but you MOST RSVP no later then November 11th, 6pm. Pam is going to make chili so we need to know how many are coming. I heard that Pam's chili is some of the best in the Farmington area. Please, bring your own beverage. So come and check out Close to My Heart products.and join us in making a Christmas Card. This, week-end is Halloween. Please make it a safe one!!! Don't forget to take lots of pictures for your scrapbook. I love to think back to the fun Halloweens that my children had. Now, I get to share the day with our Grandson.

Happy Healing

A couple weeks ago both of my uncles had surgery. I don't think it was planned that way because they seldom chat but it happened. So I made this cute card to send them. The pattern can be found in the new "Wishes" book. I just had to share it.

October Stamp of the Month

I love the October Stamp of the Month. It's called "Holiday Warmth". For some reason the set just makes me smile. I usually like my Christmas Cards to be about the birth of Jesus. Because to me that is what the season is all about. To me the dove is a sign of Peace, and to me the tree is all about the traditions of family, church, loving and sharing.
